Raymond A. Perez is a Senior Managing Director at Frontera Capital Advisors, LLC. He has more than 30 years of experience advising clients on domestic and cross-border transactions throughout the United States, Latin American and Caribbean region.

 

Mr. Perez has advised governments, numerous Fortune 500 companies, prominent private equity groups, hedge funds and other financial institutions on complex cross-border acquisitions, covering a range of sectors. His technical expertise includes buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence, strategic business evaluations, turnarounds, financial restructurings and divestitures, valuations and deal structuring.

 

Prior to joining Frontera, Mr. Perez served as a Senior Managing Director at a publicly traded, multinational consulting firm, where he lead the corporate finance Latin America practice. He has significant experience advising clients on target acquisition strategies, privatizations, regional consolidations and roll-ups as well as divestitures and corporate spin-offs. Mr. Perez was with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was Managing Director in the Corporate Finance practice.

 

Mr. Perez’s past clients include Alcoa, Alumax, American National Can, Assa Abloy (Sweden), AT&T, BAESA (Argentina), Bank of America, Bear Stearns, BellSouth, BP Amoco, CEPRI (Peru), Darby Overseas, ED&F Man Sugar, GE Capital Corporation, Grupo Industrial Alfa (Mexico), Hicks Muse, JP Morgan Capital, Kansas City Power and Light, Lucent Technologies, Lufthansa (Germany), Newbridge Latin America, Phillip Morris , PowerGen (United Kingdom), PSI Net, Rio Tinto (United Kingdom), Southern Peru Copper , Unilever and United Brands.

 

Mr. Perez holds a B.A. in economics from Columbia University. Mr. Perez served on the Finance Committee for Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and is a former board member of Aspira of Florida, a non-profit organization dedicated to youth education. He is the former president of the Columbia University Alumni Association of Miami. He has resided in Brazil, Mexico, Costa Rica and Puerto Rico. Mr. Perez is fluent in Spanish.
